Before, I had never seen people so focused on improving where our generation's future until I went to this conference. It helped me realize how important democracy is and everyone should play a significant role in it.

 
Volunteers are vital to the success of the YMCA Texas Youth & Government.   Each YMCA YG club must have a club advisor in order to be official. Volunteers are also needed to coach students, be evaluators during the competitions, help behind the scenes, fund raise or serve on the Board. Volunteers are often teachers, parents, community leaders, YG alumni, attorneys, retirees, or YMCA staff.
