MESSAGE FROM THE YOUTH GOVERNORS
Dear Youth and Government Delegates:
First of all we would like to thank each and every one of you for entrusting both of us with the honor of representing you as your YMCA Texas Youth Governor 2011-2012. It obviously came as a surprise to all of us that we would share the role of Governor, but we have decided to truly embrace the idea of servant leadership that both of us preached in our campaigns and not worry about the title of Governor but rather focus more intently upon serving and representing you.
Throughout this year it is our main goal to employ our platforms throughout all branches of Youth and Government, and keep our word by being the governors who listen to you and include your ideas in our plans. We promise to do all that we can to reinstate a press conferences for the media, attain updated equipment for the media, reorganize the Senate docket and analyze the way evaluators are selected for judicial. More importantly we have already taken the first steps in creating an online program to keep all of us connected throughout the year at the Texas Youth and Government 365 Project Group on Facebook. We want to encourage you to join the group and join in the discussions on how to better your respective branch.
Remember, we are here to not only represent you but to listen to you, and help equip you to “take the helm when necessary” and become better leaders in order for the YMCA Texas Youth and Government program to operate with exceptional efficiency, passionate productivity, and unique individuality.
Your Co-Governors,
Micah Petersen and Jared McCluskey
